Hi, my name is Jenny and I am a coworker and friend to Jessica. Unfortunately she has been facing many challenges over the past few months. Out of the blue, she started to feel dizzy upon standing which she tried to brush off but the symptoms continued to worsen, so she checked her pulse and found that it was in the 130’s-140’s when these symptoms were appearing which is well above normal (Normal heart rate is 60-100). Since the start of her symptoms her heart rate has been as high as 160-170’s. Jessica has been experiencing dizziness with an elevated heart rate for a couple months now and it’s happening daily. She has fainted multiple times when standing where she has incurred many injuries. Jessica has been to her doctor and the ER multiple times with very few answers. She has been wearing a heart monitor and told she has to be on strict bed rest. Her symptoms come on even by simply sitting up. The doctors seem to have suspicions that it could be a syndrome called POTS. This syndrome causes tachycardia and hypotension which would explain the sudden dizziness, fainting spells and tachycardia. She is pushing fluids daily and following orders which ultimately has forced her to stop working, per doctors strict orders. Jessica’s next appointment will be next week January 3rd with her cardiologist to hopefully get some more answers or at least some sort of action plan to get her back to feeling normal. This has made times pretty tough for her as she does not have income coming in to support the medical bills piling up not to mention trying to keep up with monthly expenses. Jessica has one of the biggest hearts I have ever encountered she was there for me in a heartbeat when I went through some struggles of my own and I have personally witnessed her kind acts in helping others and paying it forward.
