Donate to help support Ely and his family

On Monday night, our friend Elyjah Smith was senselessly shot outside of his apartment in Chapel Hill, NC. Elyjah is currently fighting for his life at UNC hospital.

Ely is a core member of the Chapel Hill community, affectionately known as “Planet Fitness Guy” to friends, coworkers and community members who knew him at his place of work.

Ely always found a way to make the community around him feel special. His impact in the workplace was always one of excellent customer service. He’d address you by name, treat everyone with respect, and maybe even grace you with a rendition of Happy Birthday.

Please keep Ely in your thoughts and prayers as he is still in critical condition in the hospital.

This GoFundMe, is being set up by my coworkers and I who are already missing his presence. The funds will be used to support whatever is next for Ely and his family, as he hopefully recovers. Thank you all so much.
