Hello Pioneers!
My name is Emma Kopec! I am thrilled to be co-directing a production “The Trail to Oregon!”, originally produced by Starkid Productions, alongside Joclyn Menendez-Blake in the WSU Jubilee Directing Lab this April!
-
This show is a musical comedy, parodying the 1990’s computer game “The Oregon Trail.” The show follows a family of five in 1848, traveling from Missouri to Oregon. This show is full of audience participation and has multiple possible endings, chosen by the audience!
From Starkid’s official website:
The Trail to Oregon! is an original musical produced by Starkid Productions and was performed in Chicago in the summer of 2014. It is also the most historically accurate musical portraying the Oregon Trail to date; featuring 12 educational songs, a set precisely replicating the trail’s landscape, and appearances from famous historical figures, such as: Henry McDoon, Cletus Jones, and Cornwallis.

Here’s where YOU come in. Our show is completely free to come see, but putting on a full length production can be costly. Your money will go towards rights, rehearsal materials, props, costumes, etc! We are Thankful for any donations of any size!
