Donate to Help Stray Kittens

I'm Portia — my wife Rory and I feed and care for a small colony of fixed adult ferals in our neighborhood — but this week, our colony was overrun by TEN kittens! We're working hard to get them all appointments to be fixed, and we could use help paying for their spay/neuter appointments.

Valley Humane can take two per appointment, and we've already got two appointments lined up for October; they charge $140 per cat and each appointment will mean 120 miles of driving (drop off and pick up, each a 60-mile round trip). We're also looking for appointments at a few other local clinics.

And along the way, we'll be doing our best to socialize all the kittens, so we can try and find them homes, as well! They're bouncy and sweet! They're from two litters: one group is ~3 months old, the other group is 4-5 months old. Our best guess is that they've been living in a backyard across the street and are just now big enough to come over the fence and cross the street to our front yard (where we feed the adults). There are four black tuxedos ("The Groomsmen"), three all-black kittens ("The Black Belts"), two gray tuxedos ("The Gentle Raccoons"), and one white kitten with a black tail and ears ("Frostbite").
