Hi, my name is Stormi, and I'm fundraising for more than one rare autoimmune diseases I have been struggling with. One is called Panuveitis; it is a rare eye disease. It is inflammation of all layers of the eye; the condition can also affect the lens, retina, optic nerve, and vitreous, causing reduced vision or blindness. Panuveitis is the number one cause of blindness in the U.S. I have received over 8 steroid shots in my left eye. The steroid shots have caused the pressure in my eye to go up and cataracts. They cannot do any surgery due to the inflammation that they can not get under control. I have already lost most of my eyesight from my left eye, and it keeps getting worse! 20/200 is considered legally blind. Right now my eye is at 20/800 which is way worse. Panuveitis causes me to sit in a dark room most days. Any light is very uncomfortable. This eye makes me sick dizzy, nauseated, headaches, etc.. The only way I can think of how to describe it would be if you was to open your eyes underwater and that is how I see everyday.  I'm scared and I'm just praying my other eye does not get affected by the disease.  The other autoimmune disease I have is called Bechet's Syndrome this is what is causing the Panuveitis {eye disease}.  Bechet's Syndrome is a a rare disorder that causes blood vessel inflammation thorough out your body. Bechet's is a autoimmune disorder, which means the body's immune system mistakenly attacks some of its own healthy cells. It is likely genetic and environmental factors play a role. Bechet's is not contagious and can not be spread from person to person. This has been a hardship for me and our family because I have to deal with constant flares. These flares will last weeks, bringing on other symptoms such as arthritis. I'm no longer to work due to my Illness., so it has affected us financially. I hope to raise some money to visit the Moran Eye Center to visit Salt Lake City, specializing in Panuveitis and Bechet's syndrome. This way, I can hopefully get the proper treatment and slow down the progression of my eye disease significantly. Any help would be so appreciated; thank you
