Donate to Help Stephen Pickford Recover from Auto Crash

My car, a beloved Nissan Sentra, was declared a total loss by my insurer last week while out helping an elderly shut-in with a delivery...I was blind-sided by an inattentive young driver while heading westbound on Samson at 85th in Laval...her northbound car barely stopped and kept going while I was already 2/3 through the intersection. Her front right caught and pulled off my front left, clearly indicating to the auto body shop that she was at fault and that she was going at a higher than posted speed.

There is a big gap in the insurance payout for me, as insurance only wants to give current approximate value, won't repair it even though in excellent condition. After paying off the finance company, will only leave about $1500.....From amongst the thousands reading this posting, a small donation multiplied by many would equal being back on my feet and made whole from an event in which I was a victim.

My goal is to raise $7,500 by August 01, and we are on our way.

My intention is to replace my car with a decent used car that will get me back up and running to make deliveries and assist others in need.

I am 60+ and enjoy driving and helping others in our community, but when victimized and drawn down by an insurance company through no fault of my own, I dearly hope that the community can help going forward.

By the way, as if this setback isn't enough, I've had a challenging past year dealing with several other things, from recovering from chronic acute pneumonia and being in hospital for 2.5 months, to the recent loss of my dear cat, Reggie. Admittedly, I was feeling hopeless until I remembered about a fellow who used a crowdfunding platform to help himself out of a major jam....so....thought it would be worth a try, and I thank all of you in advance for your kindness and support via this campaign!
