Donate to help Sibo with a new prosthetic leg
Donation protected
Hi, we are fundraising to help Jean Pierre Sibomana have a new prosthetic leg made.
Sibo had his right leg amputated mid thigh following an explosion during the Rwandan genocide in 1994. Sibo was the only member of his immediate family to survive. He is now married to Grace and they have 2 little boys, Iowa and Rex. Sibo has overcome adversity to create and lead a charity in Rwanda that now advocates for those with disabilities, he is currently in the UK for one month.
I had the pleasure of meeting Sibo in Rwanda in 2014 and taking a plaster cast for a new prosthetic leg. However this leg is 8 years old and the socket is now too small causing Sibo significant pain when he is walking. He would greatly benefit from prosthetic assessment and review to design a well fitting prosthetic leg that enables his to maintain his mobility. Unfortunately Sibo does not have access to prosthetic rehabilitation in Rwanda.
It would be brilliant if Sibo could have a new prosthetic leg made while he is in the UK, although private prosthetic services are very expensive. Any assistance you are able to provide towards the cost of a new leg for Sibo would be amazing.
Yours sincerely
