Donate to help Shevet Achim

Dear friends and family,

We are collecting for the association Shevet Achim instead of gifts for our wedding.

We donate yearly to this Christian association hoping to help save children from critical heart conditions. One life costs around 7000 dollars between transport, visas, administration, accommodation and of course the medical cost. Doctors and hospitals involved are working voluntarily and do not make a profit from these surgeries.

Shevet Achim is a faith-based non-profit international community that brings children with congenital heart defects to advanced medical centers in Israel. It was founded in 1994 when a small group including both foreign Christians and Israeli citizens was drawn together around the shared recognition that every life is created in the image of God and that the children of our neighbors should not be denied access to the great medical care in Israel.

Early on, their focus settled on heart surgeries for children from the Gaza Strip, and that work has continued without stopping until today. A breakthrough in 2003 expanded their reach into Iraq and later into Syria.
