Donate to Help Shaima's Family Find Safety
Donation protected
My name is Sara, and I reside in Wisconsin, USA. I am helping to fundraise for Shaima, a 20 year old student from Gaza, Occupied Palestine. Please take a moment to read this family’s story, and please, consider donating even just the minimum of $5. If we all work together, we can help a family survive.
Here is the family’s story, in their own words.
“Rahma Khaled is a strong and persevering Palestinian mother who lost her husband in 2011. She works as a history teacher and became the sole provider for her family, which consists of three daughters and a son: Wafa, Alaa, Shaima, and Bashir. After losing her husband, Rahma lived in a beautiful home in the city of Rafah, but the displacement with her family to the Mawassi area in Khan Younis had a significant impact on her.
The long period of displacement in Mawassi Khan Younis forced Rahma to spend all of her savings on her family, and she lost everything due to the difficult living conditions in the area, with rising prices for food, drink, and all daily necessities. Despite all these challenges, Rahma continues to fight with her family to survive the harsh conditions they are living in, particularly enduring the severe winter cold and the urgent need for many essential items to survive.
Due to these harsh circumstances, the family is seeking to move to Egypt to live in a safer environment, so Rahma’s daughters Alaa and Shaima, and her son Bashir, can continue their university studies, especially after the destruction of schools and universities in their area.
Your donations, dear friends, will go towards enabling this family to survive by providing food, clothing, and also covering rent for a home, as they are currently living in a tent. The winter season makes it extremely difficult to live in the tent, and the donations will also help with the costs of their relocation and education in Egypt.
I urge every free person who reads Rahma and her family’s story to help and donate to them, as well as share their story with their family and friends to expand the support and assistance for this suffering family.”
