Donate to Help Scizors with Urgent Family Support

Hi, it’s Scizors. I'm facing a significant life change relocating to Japan in mid-April to support my partner, Maki, and her elderly mother. This move has come up on short notice as her mother's health has declined quickly, and her family requested that she come home soon.

At the same time, I have luckily been accepted to a tuition-free coding boot camp to get back on track with my career in technology—a field that accommodates my special working needs. Due to a partial spinal disability from a deformity I was born with remote work is a necessity. However, finding remote positions is especially challenging in the current job market.

I’ve never asked for help like this but my financial situation is dire. I cannot afford to move overseas and support myself for many months while studying coding and learning Japanese full-time, which is crucial for my integration and success in Japan. I am committed to remaining in Maki’s life and supporting her during this challenging time.

The funds I'm raising will help to support:

- Moving expenses to Japan

- A student visa and tuition for an intensive Japanese language school

- Initial living costs while I study and find remote work

If there are extra funds they would be used to pay down my debts, allowing me to focus on my partner's needs and professional development without the extra financial stress.
