Hi, we are Freya & Kate. You may have seen us in news articles when we first opened Sparkles, you make have seen us on the BBC when we welcome Ruth Jones and Steve Spiers to our venue or you may not know us at all. In November 2024, we opened Sparkles, Merthyr Tydfil’s first and only LGBTQ+ venue. We have so much love and admiration for our business, we have watched friendships start and flourish and have created a real sense of family within our community. Due to rising costs of everything, it has seriously impacted our business and we are now at a point of desperation. We want to keep our doors open and Sparkles alive, however due to lack of customers this is becoming nearly impossible. This is our shout for help to ensure we can keep our safe and comforting business alive, keep our staff employed and to let the Sparkles family continue to grow. We would appreciate anything, big or small but what we really need is your custom to keep us going, even just choosing us for 1 drink would be the greatest help.
