Donate to help save Shepshed Watermill Open Days

Hi

We are fundraising to pay legal fees for a Judicial Review in respect of planning application P/22/2223/2 (Charnwood Borough Council). We aim to get the decision overturned and prevent the junction from being constructed directly opposite Shepshed Watermill. This would then allow our public open days to continue safely and also provide a safer environment for our livery yard business.

A Judicial Review has 4 board stages:

Stage 1 - Pre-action correspondence

Stage 2 - Lodging

Stage 3 - Obtaining a judicial paper (or hearing) decision on permission to proceed to judicial review, and

Stage 4 - A full substantive hearing on the matter.

Stage 1 costs are approximately £5,000 which we as owners will fund. However, to continue the process, we would require your support.

So please donate as much as you can to protect this heritage asset from being closed to the public.
