My mom has been struggling deeply since the passing of her brother in May. She’s had such a hard time finding joy again. I decided to rescue a puppy to help bring some light back into her life, and it worked instantly. She fell in love with this sweet little girl and named her Journey, after one of my uncle’s favorite bands.

But just a few days after coming home, Journey became very sick. The vet confirmed our worst fear: she tested positive for Parvo. My mom is heartbroken. After months of sadness, Journey was the first thing to make her smile again, and now Journey is fighting for her life.

Parvo treatment is expensive, but we’re doing everything we can to give Journey a chance. She deserves the opportunity to grow, play, and continue being the little piece of hope my mom so desperately needs.
