Hello, my name is Elise and I am fundraising to provide my daughter Elisha with much needed funds to treat her beloved recently turned 3 years old Pittie named Draco, who has just been diagnosed with Lymphoma. (Cancer of the Lymph nodes).

Draco is a larger-than-life character who truly lives up to his name (Dragon). Draco loves swimming, walks, playing with his biological brother 'Maverick' (who I own), treats, toys, tug of war, naps, lots & lots of snuggly naps, his family and above all else his Mama (my oldest daughter Elisha).

Elisha got Draco when he was just 10 weeks old and they have had quite the journey together with lots of upside & downs. The pair have endured needless discrimination, harrasment and exclusion based solely on his breed, a roommate who was unknowingly mistreating Draco when Elisha was at work or school, living in an RV for an entire year while Elisha relocated up Island to Naniamo from Victoria to pursue an affordable residence that would allow a pet of his breed. Elisha is now employed making minimum wage supporting Draco, and has a suitable living arrangement where Draco has a large fenced in yard to play. Everything seemed to have come together for them and now this...

Unfortunately the medical treatments and associated costs are beyond her's and our family's financial ability to sustain without asking for help via this GoFundMe page.

Draco has a very good prognosis to have his life significantly prolonged while maintaining his quality of life with a series of chemotherapy and steroid treatments to help build healthy tissue as the chemo works to kill off the cancer.

Draco will also require regular blood work, pain management medication, sedatives, dietary supplements and very high quality food to support his body and health through the treatments.

Elisha also requires financial support for the above as well as travel from Nanimao to Victoria (aporox 2 hours each way for weekly & bi/weekly appointments), wage loss due to days off work she will be required to sustain to take Draco to his appointments and to care for him at home while he recovers from the chemo treatments, which will be required for a minimum of six months.

Draco has been Elisha's constant companion while she studied business at our local college, accompanied her to her night job as an office/warehouse cleaner to help with her schooling/ living costs. Draco has

also always provided Elisha with a tremendous amount of emotional support and protection when she was dealing with a difficult three year relationship breakup and a case of serious stalking when someone smashed her windshield and was following her to these remote buildings she cleaned late at night and further seriously vandalized her vehicle, one can imagine what may have happened had Draco not been there.

Elisha has shown remarkable dedication to Draco, especially for a 21 year old. Elisha has spent her savings getting Draco professionally trained & neutered and has always provided Draco with medical care when needed, mountains of toys and healthy food and treats. They even stuck together when a roommate of hers decided to do a midnight move the night before the rent was due. Elisha had returned from work that night to find the roommate had packed and left and could not be reached for their portion of the rent.

When times were tough Draco has stuck by Elisha and now it's our turn to stick by Draco and give him the best, fullest and most fun life that we possibly can surrounded by the family & friends who love him so very much and he loves so much in return.
