We are Sandra's kids (Natalia, Matthew, and Eli) and we are asking for help. Our momma suffered a stroke and fell the week before her birthday in December. Since then she has been in the hospital. If you know our mom, you know she is a woman who doesn't sit still; she has always been busy- running around meeting with others, setting up to host a dinner, creating special moments for people she knows, and serving others. Our mom and dad have been pastors for over 20 years, and together they have served and loved countless people in their community. Dad travels to and from the hospital every day to be with mom, helping her with daily care, exercises and therapy, and keeping her company. She is having to relearn how to use the entire left side of her body, including using her hand and walking. However, they don't have medical insurance. With 3+ weeks of a hospital stay and the need for rehabilitation, so she can get back to normal activities, we are asking for help (our parents don't know we are doing this). The funds will cover medical expenses incurred from her current hospital stay, help with the cost of rehabilitation therapy, and any expenses for food and travel as our dad travels to and from home to care for her.
