Hello Everyone,

On Tuesday the 30th April 2024, our dear friend Sandra lost her home to a fierce fire, sparked by a lithium battery in her garage. The fire was so intense that it severely damaged her entire home making it completely unliveable.

Sandra and her son Luca, were extremely lucky to have escaped with their lives. However, they have lost everything else, including Luca’s car and trade tools, to the fire. Due to unforeseen circumstances the home, content, car and trade tools were unfortunately uninsured at the time.

Those who know Sandra know of the hard life that she has endured. Sandra is a survivor of domestic violence and still to this day deals with the trauma and health issues associated with this period in her life. Sandra hid from us the suffering to keep her family together. When the injuries to herself and her young children escalated, she bravely managed to evict him and built a life for her family without violence. Sandra had to work two jobs to ensure that her 3 young children were educated and had a roof over their head. Throughout this time she never asked for or accepted any help. Life later threw Sandra another curve ball when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a long battle including surgeries and treatment, she overcame all odds and survived this insidious disease. However, Sandra still to this day requires treatment to ensure her health is maintained; not only from the cancer but also the lifelong injuries from her domestic violence.

Despite her hardships, Sandra has raised 3 beautiful children who have grown to be exceptional adults. In addition to raising her children, Sandra was also the primary carer of her father for many years, until he sadly recently passed away.

This is the first time Sandra has agreed to any help from her family and friends. Sandra has her back against the wall financially and no longer has a home. Please, if you can give a financial hand to this beautiful, caring , heart of gold lady so that she can rebuild her life and have a home again, it would certainly be much appreciated by her and her family.
