Hi, my name is Loretta Crockett and I am Sammy’s older sister. Samantha and her son have lived with me for 6 years.

On Friday April 15, Sammy and her boyfriend were riding a motorcycle when they struck a moose.

Samantha is at Maine Medical Center with multiple traumatic brain injuries, two fractures in her neck, a broken orbital socket, broken teeth, and extreme road rash.

We are raising money to assist Sammy in her long recovery journey.

Many of you know as of April 20th Sammy is still in the ICU in Portland. She is semi responsive at this point when they can wake her up, but she has yet to talk or fully respond to my mother. She has opened her eyes a few times and been able to give nurses the thumbs up. Currently she is battling pneumonia on top of everything else as she was on a ventilator. I will update her medical condition frequently.

Her son is with Family and doing well all things considered. Samantha and our family has a long road to recovery ahead of us and her son will also feel the effects of this as well.

We appreciate everyone who has reached out to us in the past week to pray for us and offer to help in any way they can. We started this Go Fund Me as we had many people reach out to us asking if they could donate Money.
