Sam was recently assaulted by a car while riding his bike in downtown Columbus. Please help contribute to the cost of replacing his bike.
Why We're Asking You to Support Sam:
Sam has been training hard for the road racing season and finding a meaningful place in the local cycling community. For Sam it's not just a bike, it’s a tool for the journey he's on. He is making an impact, particularly for POC pursuing competitive cycling in our region. Contributions will go towards the replacement of his Allez Sprint Comp -any extra will go to race entry and transportation expenses (often barriers to competing).
What Happened:
On April 19th, Sam was returning from a long training ride with a friend. They were riding through downtown Columbus at Gay and High when the driver of a black Audi aggressively u-turned to drive at them. The driver trapped Sam in an alley, knocking him off his bike, purposefully running over the bike, dragging it and then backing over it again. Fortunately, Sam did not sustain any serious physical injuries, however, his bike was destroyed.
