My name is Kathleen Daly, and my friends and I would like to help raise money to offset the cost of an injured dog.
Our friend Ruthann's sweet little dog, Remy, got loose from her leash on her walk at dusk on Thursday, February 20th, and ran into a busy road where she was struck by a car. Remy was rushed to Redbank Veterinarian Hospital, where she required treatment for her injuries. Remy needed sutures for a large laceration on her head and had two fractures in her left front paw. The surgery to repair her paw was done the next day, and she was casted. Remy was luckily able to be discharged on Saturday evening.
Remy's mom and our dear friend Ruthann does not have pet insurance, and the cost for Remy's care is $13,000. The burden of this expense is also impacted by the fact that Ruthann just had a total knee replacement the day before Remy's accident, and she herself will not return to work until she has completed her rehabilitation from this extensive surgery.
We hope you can spare a donation of any kind to help Ruthann and Remy get through this very challenging time.
