With the mounting financial burden we will be facing due to Rosa’s breast cancer diagnosis of medical bills and needs. Unfortunately, Matt is our only source of income as a family, so any time off he will need to take off has a huge impact on us as a family as is . Two and a half weeks ago, I found a lump in my left breast. After a flurry of tests and appointments, this past Monday, I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma which spread to my lymph nodes (stage 3 breast cancer). Over the next two weeks, I will be scheduled for a CT scan, an MRI, a bone scan, an echocardiogram, and port placement. Once those are completed, I will be starting a 6-month treatment plan with chemo. About halfway through, we will reevaluate a surgical plan based on how much the tumor has shrunken. After surgery and chemo, I will be looking at radiation treatment and hormone therapy as well.
