Hi, my name is Jodie, and I’m reaching out for help for my best friend Jack and his beloved 5 month old puppy, Rolo. In January, Jack found a new home for Rolo as it was time for her to leave her mum & dad, believing it was the right decision since the new owners had other happy pets. However, just two days ago, Jack received a distressing message about Rolo's well-being. The new owner stated their mental health had declined, they were no longer fit to look after Rolo and that Rolo was underweight.

When Jack went to collect Rolo, he immediately recognized signs of severe mistreatment and neglect. She was nervous and jumpy, clearly traumatized from her experiences. Since her return, Rolo has needed urgent veterinary care due to vomiting and her stomach being severely shrunken from lack of food. At only 5 months old, she weighs just 7 pounds 8 ounces, which is alarmingly low. Rolo has already undergone blood work, scans, and treatments for nausea, and the costs are mounting quickly.

It’s heartbreaking to see how much weight Rolo has lost since Jack first rehomed her. We’re seeking support to help cover her veterinary expenses as she embarks on her journey to recovery.
