My name is Rob Kruse, and I am fundraising for much-needed help to build a new life after the loss of my job as a property manager, as well as the loss of my home.

For nearly 17 years, I have served as an onsite apartment manager for a small apartment complex, working for an independent/private owner. Recently, I was terminated without warning and am being evicted from my apartment as well, since it is attached to the job.

Some of you may know me through the art, publishing, or design world. Others may have seen or listened to the Southern California band I was in for over 20 years. I've also worked at large music events and helped manage festivals. This was all in addition to my job as an apartment manager.

At the height of the pandemic in 2021, I was seriously injured in 2021 when renovating an apartment as part of my property management job, causing serious physical damage. Thankfully I did not break my neck, but it has been a challenge to find adequate medical care. For the last five years, I cannot lift more than 30 pounds with my left arm, and I cannot play music because of shoulder and neck neuralgia.

I continued to work around the apartment to maintain an income to live, while using friends or contractors to do the jobs I was unable to perform. Unfortunately, I was injured at work again, but was denied care.

Now that I have lost my job and my apartment, I need to raise funds for healthcare, a storage facility for all my belongings, and a room rental. I am, at least right now, ineligible for disability or unemployment regardless of my solid work record.

No job, losing my home, no workers comp, no disability, no unemployment: I am desperately in need of aid to stay housed and off the street. I will greatly appreciate anything you can do to help.
