Hi, my name is Riggs. I’m reaching out because I’ve hit a really hard stretch and need a little help getting back up.

I haven’t been able to work since June. I’ve been actively applying and interviewing, but between a dog attack that put me out for a month, location restrictions for union jobs, and bad luck with local positions, nothing’s come through yet. I’ve been waiting over two and a half months for unemployment, but it still hasn’t arrived.

In the meantime, I’ve sold nearly everything I own of value just to stay afloat — tools, personal belongings, whatever I could part with — but I’ve finally run out of options.

Because I’ve been out of work for so long, I’ve fallen behind on rent and bills, and I was recently given a 7-day notice to vacate by November 6th.

My goal is to raise enough to:

Rent a room and get a small storage unit for my belongings

Relocate back to the L.A. area so I can take union jobs again

Catch up on a few essential bills

I’m not someone who’s comfortable asking for help, but I truly need it right now to get back on my feet and back to work. Any donation, big or small, or even just sharing this page, would mean the world to me.
