A Servant's Heart

Rick Smith, founder and director of Rock Bottom Outreach received his new heart! The whole process was miraculous. Literally. Rick suffered from stress-induced cardiomyopathy or "broken-heart syndrome" and had been receiving treatment and therapy for several years after his own personal "rock bottom". experience in 2008.

Those of you who know Rick well or have heard his testimony know that he has been generously sharing his servant's heart with everyone he possibly could. And now that he has a new heart, I can only imagine how much more he will accomplish going forward.

Rick is immensely grateful for what everyone has done to support him through this journey and he will never forget it or take it for granted. He is committed to continue serving the Lord by serving the lost and hurting. To do that, he will continue to need help for a while as he regains his strength.

YOU are a major part of the story Rick is going to share going forward.

He has learned a great deal during this ordeal but most of all he has been humbled by your willingness to come alongside him in his battle.

I am asking you to continue this journey with Rick. Help make this transition as stressless as possible by being the hands and feet God has used to renew his servant's heart.

Thank you and God bless you!
