Hello, as many of you learned the day before Thanksgiving I flipped over backwards in my wheelchair - and it wasn't even my motorized wheelchair!

Anyway, because of my Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bones) my knee and Tibia suffered several small fractures. Though the doctors explained them as 'small' or 'invisible' I can tell you the pain was terrible.

I certainly didn't want to go to the hospital. But that's where I spent my Thanksgiving, My Birthday on December 7th, and nearly Christmas. In all I was in the hospital for 12 days and, in a Rehab place for 18 days. It was a time that tested my resolve.

Thankfully I had great support during that time from visitors, and from friends and family on Facebook, X, and Instagram. The messages I received helped me to manage my exercising and continue the work necessary to get myself home.

My freedom and independence are so important to me. Learning that hundreds of people, care about my wellbeing, was a huge inspiration.

Now I'm in need of a different support; one that isn't very heartwarming or filled with companionship.

The days I spent in hospital and in the rehabilitation unit have created a ton of bills for me. I've done the best I can in the past 3 months. Now I'm in need of financial assistance.
