Hi, my name is Heaven. I am the oldest daughter of Rick LaPlante. Recently my dad hasn’t been feeling very well. It came to the point where he was having difficulty breathing and he was taken to the hospital. Thinking he just had a cold he found out he had pneumonia. They put him on oxygen and decided to run a few more test, they found fluid in his lungs and that his heart was failing and only working at about 40%. After having a heart catheter done they revealed that all of his arteries are 99% blocked and he will need open heart bypass surgery. My father does not have health insurance and we are working on getting him some but he owns his own roofing business, so obviously right now the company is not up and running and it won’t be for some time. If you know my dad you know that he would help anyone anyway possible when they needed it even when things were tight. I’m reaching out asking for just a little help with the medical expenses that he will have upcoming. I know things are hard for everyone right now. We appreciate anything.
