Donate to Help Reyna and Gustavo

Hi! My name is Natasha Wakefield and I've created this "Go Fund Me" account for my good friends, Reyna and Gustavo. They were visiting the US from Mexico with their two little girls, Dulce and Abril.

On 09/17/2023, they wanted to cook some delicious Mexican food and bought a propane tank to prepare the meal. When starting to cook, the propane tank unexpectedly exploded! Gustavo was able to jump away, getting burnt on his feet and arm only, and also broke his foot while trying to escape. Gustavo is still recovering and has to undergo physical therapy to get back to 100%. Reyna, however, suffered burns to 72% of her body and has been in critical condition. Thanks to God and many prayers, Reyna survived the accident, but still has a long road to recovery with multiple upcoming reconstructive surgeries to restore muscle and skin.

Fortunately, Dulce and Abril were inside the house during the incident, and did not suffer any injuries. As Reyna and Gustavo have been in the Arizona Burn Center for the last couple of months, their daughters have been without their parents for the first time in their lives, being taken care of by family members in Mexico.

I am asking for donations to alleviate some of the financial stress (food, monthly bills, etc.) since neither Gustavo or Reyna have been able to work and provide for their family during the hospital stay. Any amount is appreciated! Your donations will help Reyna and Gustavo will make the recovery process less hectic once they are out of the hospital. ¡Hola! Mi nombre es Natasha Wakefield y he creado esta cuenta "Go Fund Me" para mis buenos amigos Reyna y Gustavo. Estaban de visita en Estados Unidos desde México con sus dos hijas, Dulce y Abril.

El 17/09/2023, quisieron cocinar una deliciosa comida mexicana y compraron un tanque de propano para preparar la comida. Al empezar a cocinar, el tanque de propano explotó inesperadamente. Gustavo pudo saltar, quemándose solo los pies y el brazo, y también se rompió el pie al intentar escapar. Gustavo aún se está recuperando y tiene que someterse a fisioterapia para volver al 100%. Reyna, sin embargo, sufrió quemaduras en el 72% de su cuerpo y se encuentra en estado crítico. Gracias a Dios y muchas oraciones, Reyna sobrevivió al accidente, pero aún tiene un largo camino hacia la recuperación con múltiples cirugías reconstructivas para restaurar músculos y piel.

Afortunadamente, Dulce y Abril se encontraban dentro de la casa durante el incidente y no sufrieron heridas. Como Reyna y Gustavo han estado en el Centro de Quemados de Arizona durante los últimos meses, sus hijas han estado sin sus padres por primera vez en sus vidas, bajo el cuidado de familiares en México.

Estoy pidiendo donaciones para aliviar algo del estrés financiero (comida, facturas mensuales, etc.) ya que ni Gustavo ni Reyna han podido trabajar y mantener a su familia durante su estadía en el hospital. ¡Se agradece cualquier cantidad!
