For years, we have been providing free play opportunities for children and families in our community. Through our play sessions and events we create safe, inclusive spaces where children can be active, make friends, build confidence, and simply enjoy being children.

Sadly, our work has recently suffered a major setback.

Overnight, a van we hired was stolen along with a large amount of equipment that we use to deliver play opportunities across the community. The loss of the hire vehicle alone is devastating because it means our insurance gets higher, but the equipment that was inside is what will have the greatest impact on the children and families we support.

Among the items stolen were:

A bouncy castle

The bouncy castle blower

Sports equipment used for games and activities

Play resources used at community events and sessions

Essential equipment needed to deliver our free access play programme

This theft couldn't have come at a worse time. We are currently at our busiest period of the year, delivering activities and play opportunities to hundreds of children. Every piece of equipment we carry helps us create fun, engaging experiences that bring communities together and give children the chance to learn, play, and thrive.

While insurance may cover some of the losses, replacing everything quickly is a significant challenge. Without this equipment, our ability to continue delivering the same level of service is greatly reduced.

We're asking our community, supporters, and anyone who believes in the importance of play to help us recover from this setback. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards replacing the stolen equipment and ensuring that local children don't miss out on the activities they love.
