Hi, for those who do not know Sergeant Steve Mayfield was recently shot in the line of duty. He was shot three times once in the abdomen and once in each leg by a suspect with a high powered rifle. The injury to one of his legs is extensive and will require a lengthy hospital stay and months of physical therapy. Sergeant Mayfield is currently the K-9 unit sergeant at the Reno Police Department. He is a true hero and an extremely humble man.

Sergeant Mayfield is a very respected member of our department so several us decided to start this Go Fund Me for him and his family. Sergeant Mayfield and his family are better at helping others than letting others help them. Any donated funds will be used to support the family throughout Sergeant Mayfield’s lengthy recovery.
