Help Remus in his battle with Cancer

My name is Remus, and I'm a 27-year-old husband, father, and fighter. Just a couple of months ago, my life took an unexpected turn when I started experiencing some troubling symptoms – redness in my left eye and sinus pain. Eventually these symptoms turned out to be a malignant tumor. Little did I know, these seemingly harmless signs were the beginning of a battle against alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a quite rare and aggressive cancer.

The diagnosis hit me like a ton of bricks and my world was turned upside down. But amidst the fear and uncertainty, I made a decision – I was going to fight with everything I had.

I underwent countless examinations and consultations in Ireland and Romania, desperately seeking answers and hope. The Romanians were quiet slow on my treatment plan and as the days dragged on, it became painfully clear that time was not on my side. The cancer was aggressive, and every moment wasted felt like a lifetime lost. However, the diagnosis was confirmed, and I knew I needed to explore other options. That's when I decided to seek a second opinion in Turkey, on a friends suggestion. The team of doctors there wasted no time in crafting a treatment plan for me.

On May 1st, 2024, I had my first chemotherapy session. The road ahead is long and challenging, the treatment will last up to one year with 13 weeks of chemotherapy followed by surgery and radiotherapy to make sure we get rid of the tumor completely. The doctor also suggested that i stay in Turkey for the duration of the chemotherapy. I rented an apartment here and moved with my wife, leaving my children behind with my parents. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. But I knew it was necessary for my health and for our future together.

At first we thought we could handle the costs but now we realized we need some help. Chemotherapy ranges between 2500-3000euro per week this includes all the bloodwork done beforehand and the doctor consultations. So far I did 2 sessions of chemotherapy but as the treatments progress, the costs only seem to pile up.

I was hesitant to ask for help. I thought I could manage on my own. But the reality is, I can't do this alone. That's why I've turned to platforms like GoFundMe. I'm humbly asking for your support, knowing that every little bit helps.
