Donate to help rebuild Franz the R32.

As many of us were there celebrating on New Year's Day our club R32 suffered a catastrophic detonation and blew the piston rings while performing a pull over the bridge. The car was towed to Fort-Worth to GERspeed, where it has been determined a complete engine rebuild was necessary. Rather than risk another issue by rebuilding locally, it has been recommended to send off to HPA Motorsports in Vancouver to future-proof with super low compression, new cams, new baffled oil pan, oil pump, and the industry's best rods, pistons, valves, etc. The engine will be certified new and will require a 500-mile break-in before needing to be re-tuned and data logged / dyno'd.

I am humbly asking for help raising money for this most unexpected loss. The quote is $17,000 including shipping to Canada. On top of that will be another $3k to pull/install engine + $1500 for tune and any unforeseeable items along the way.

I will be considering taking out a bank loan so the process is not delayed any further and risk missing events this Summer.
