Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
Life has a way of testing our resilience, and my husband Raymond, one of the most deserving and hardworking individuals I know, has recently faced an overwhelming series of tragedies. We are reaching out to you for support during this incredibly difficult time.
June 14, just as Raymond was about to leave for work, he discovered our house was on fire. Raymond worked quickly to ensure his family got out and the home was not a complete loss. The place where we built our lives and have cherished so many memories was damaged and we are currently living in a hotel awaiting insurance to complete inspections. Just as we were beginning to grasp the magnitude of this event, another heart-wrenching event occurred. Within a week of the fire, Raymond’s beloved truck, which he had owned for over 20 years, was stolen from the hotel and subsequently totaled. If you know Raymond, you know his truck was his everything. He intended to keep that truck forever.
This truck was far more than just a vehicle; it was a part of our family’s history, filled with years of memories and irreplaceable sentimental items. The insurance payout we have been presented is nowhere near enough to cover the cost of a replacement vehicle, leaving us without the means to move forward.
Adding to our distress, this truck was our only way to pull our horse trailer. This is especially important as our daughter, Nani, competes in Gymkhana. Without the truck, we have no way to get her to the shows that mean so much to her. This has added another layer of heartbreak and stress to our already challenging situation.
Raymond is the kind of person who always puts others first, whether it’s family, friends, or the community. He is always there to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or support those in need. Now, we are humbly asking for your help to support Raymond in his time of need.
We would like to raise funds to help Raymond purchase a new-to-him vehicle, which is crucial for our family's day-to-day needs and for supporting Nani’s passion for Gymkhana. We hope to raise enough funds to add to the insurance payout, replace some of the items that were stolen from inside and have a gooseneck installed if the truck does not have one. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and help us rebuild our lives. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing our story with others who might be able to help.
Your kindness, generosity, and support mean the world to us during this incredibly trying time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read our story and for any assistance you can provide.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Manalo Family
