Hello, my name is Tilina and I’m setting up this GoFundMe page for my dad, Randy Ramsey. He was recently (2/2022) diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer.

A little background….On 1/26/22 he had his stomach scanned due to ongoing pain and it showed a blockage in his bowel. He was advised to go to the ED immediately. On 1/29/22, he underwent surgery and had 18 inches of his large bowel removed. It was determined that the mass in his bowel and several lymph nodes were cancerous. Days later, he found out that the cancer in his bowel/lymph nodes was metastases from his esophagus cancer. All the cancer in his bowel and lymph nodes was successfully removed during surgery. However, it was determined that he would need treatment for the large cancerous tumor in his esophagus. He just completed chemo treatment #5 and will have another scan after treatment #6. He’s had numerous complications and rare side effects from the chemotherapy and immunotherapy. He’s weak, tired, and in pain daily but pushes through every day. His current plan is to get radiation treatment or possibly surgery to remove the tumor, contingent that the chemo is shrinking the tumor. I will stop here and say God is Good! Dad’s liver had areas concerning for cancer, but the scan came back with no liver cancer. And, today his brain scan showed no signs of cancer! I’m confident that all the prayers said in dad’s name were heard and answered.

Now, a little about my dad. He’s a fighter. He’s always worked hard for everything he has in life. He’s not one to ever ask for a handout. He’s the kindest and most genuinely caring person, who would help anybody - family, friend, or stranger. He’s my biggest supporter and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without his support.

Over the past 3 months, my dads life has changed drastically, and cancer has affected every aspect of his life. For those who don’t know, my dad has a daughter (my sister), who will be 5 years old tomorrow, 5/5/22. I’ve seen his worry and felt his heartache over making sure my sister gets everything she needs and is taken care of while he’s getting treatment. So, I am setting up this GoFundMe to help with dads medical and living expenses while he undergoes treatment and possibly surgery later this year.
