On October 22nd 2024, my brother Rafael had a horrific accident at work, that almost took his life. God saved him that day, and he’s spent the last 4 weeks in ICU, half of that time fighting for his life and the other half trying to get better. Although my brother is no longer in immediate danger his road to recovery has only started. My brother lost pulse more than once that day, and because of that sustained anoxic brain damage. Rafa will need to stay at a rehab facility once he’s out of the hospital, we don’t know how long but he will need physical, occupational and speech therapy where he will relearn everything from walking to eating on his own, etc.. and most importantly hopefully try to get his memory back. Rafa is the main provider for his family, with all financial responsibilities falling under him. He has an 11 year old son and a 6 month baby girl, his wife Rachel is doing what she can to navigate through these tough times and we’re asking for any donations to help her and his family get by as much as possible, and to help aid his road to recovery, any amount will be greatly appreciated and go a long way.
