I am looking to fundraise money to illustrate and publish a children's book about my dog Fiona, who was rescued from the Rhode Island SPCA this past spring along with 10 other dogs found to be living out of a garage. Luckily the RISPCA stepped in and now all eleven dogs are in happy, healthy and loving homes.

Since getting to know Fiona she has made such an impact on my life and the lives of those around her. Fiona and I now visit schools, nursing homes, and programs at the shelter where as a team we educate those around us about animal welfare and pet responsibility.

My goal in publishing this story is to inspire children and adults alike to be more kind, understanding and empathetic to the animals in their lives. I also hope to foster a sense of connection to the emotions of the animals in the story, in our community and with each other.

Funds will be used to pay for an independent publisher, as well as for the continued illustrations necessary to complete the book. Any excess funds will be donated to the RISPCA. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my journey in any way that you are able!
