Life can change in an instant. In December 2024, Phil went for a simple medical procedure, a biopsy of his kidney. During the procedure, there was a mishap that caused internal bleeding, which led to several strokes. He woke up in the hospital, unable to use his arms or legs and with memory loss and cognitive issues. He was later diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease and now needs a transplant to survive.

Since these events, Phil has been fighting through some of the toughest days of his life. He has been bravely enduring intense physical therapy and going to dialysis three times a week, desperately hoping for the call that will put him on the kidney transplant list.

Because of these overwhelming health challenges, Phil hasn’t been able to work since December 2024. The financial strain of being out of work, on top of mounting medical bills, has become nearly impossible to shoulder alone.

But the fight doesn’t end with a transplant. After surgery, Phil will need to quarantine for several months, making a return to work nearly impossible and leaving him with little income to cover daily living expenses. The journey ahead is daunting, but with your help, it’s not impossible.
