*SAD NEWS UPDATE* Tuesday September 2nd

Dear Friends, This is difficult to write..

We are so sorry to report that we had to say goodbye to our sweet little Pepper. She passed comfortably yesterday morning, swaddled in love and oblivious to our sadness. she was almost 10 months old

As it turned out, the ongoing issues we were trying to resolve were actually several undetected severe medical conditions that would have prevented Pepper from living much longer, or with any quality of life.

We are heart broken, but we are grateful that we were able to spend so much quality time with her in the final moments.

This little puppy was such a joy in our lives and we did everything we could to give her a blessed life. She was the best little pup anyone could ask for and we will miss her dearly.

I would like to thank everyone who has donated so far, we appreciate your support. At first this fundraiser was meant to recoup the costs of saving Peppers life, unfortunately that is no longer the case. This GFM is now an effort to recoup the total cost of vet bills including Peppers end of life care. Your generous support is appreciated.

"Do you have Pet Insurance?" The vet asked.

"No" I said with dread.

We are very sad to report that our sweet little baby Pepper is currently on 24 hr vet watch as we try to figure out what is wrong with her. We have been dealing with some minor issues with her on and off but she was doing really well. Unfortunately over the weekend her condition took a turn for the worse. We have reason to believe that Pepper may have accidently ingested some extra strength Advil, which is obviously highly toxic to dogs. We are still not certain if that was the case, and Pepper is still not out of the woods just yet.

While we have been able to cover the initial expenses of her care, the x-rays, ultrasounds, medication, IV Drip, 24hr care, enemas, needles, blood tests and more are adding up in real time and we are bracing ourselves for more.

We have decided to make the uncomfortable decision to ask for help with these expenses. We know that money is extremely tight for everyone right now, but anything you can spare will help us to ease the financial burden while we endure this emotional toll.

We are trying to stay positive, but honestly we are devastated.
