This is my little miss Penny. She's been my tiny buddy for the last two years. She's about 3 years old and a beautiful Chihuahua Terrier mix who has been by my side since my divorce. She used to be incredibly playful and happy. Loved to run outside and play with her squeaky toys.  Recently, she developed some significant issues with walking, coordination, and tremors/body spasms. She no longer wags her tail, plays with her toys, or enjoys walks. She cannot jump on the couch or go up and down stairs. My heart breaks for her. I took her to a neurologist who thought perhaps she has meningitis or encephalitis and we began her on a heavy dose of prednisone. However, there were no changes. I’m a single mom and money is tight. The next step in diagnosing her would be to have her get an MRI and spinal tap. She will be doing this procedure next month and any little bit that you can contribute would be so greatly appreciated.
