Hi everyone,
My boy Leo was hit by a car straight in the face on Friday 7th November. The driver didn’t stop. A group of children found him in the road, moved him to safety, called for help, and stayed with him even though they were terrified. Leo eventually ran off, and they posted a photo of him on our local community page — that’s how I knew it was him.
Me and my partner searched for hours. We eventually heard him meow from inside a huge overgrown hedge on a busy road. He was in a terrible state and kept crawling deeper in fear. He then jumped over a wall and disappeared. Later, my partner found him hiding inside the metalwork under a parked car, and we rushed him to the vets.
Leo’s Injuries
Leo has:
• Multiple fractures in his lower and upper jaw
• A fractured TMJ joint
• A fractured eye socket
• Fractured ribs
It’s a miracle he has no internal injuries. He needed emergency scans, surgery, a jaw wire, and a feeding tube.
He spent two nights in the vet hospital before coming home. His first few days were rough, but he’s now brighter, grooming, moving around, and healing well. He still has a long journey ahead with further surgery, medication, and ongoing check-ups.
Why I’m Asking for Help
Our pet insurance is maxed out at £4,000, and the bills are still climbing quickly.
Leo still needs:
• Further surgery
• Ongoing medication
• Regular check-ups
• Follow-up imaging
• Care for his feeding tube and recovery
Any Help Means the World. We love Leo more than anything. He is the sweetest, bravest little boy, and it is a miracle he’s still here. Any donation — big or small — will help give him the chance he fought so hard for.
Thank you so much for reading Leo’s story and for supporting him.
