Subject: Passing of Sharon Thomas-Lampkin – raised by Lilli
Dear Friends and Family members,
I am writing to you today to let you know about my best friend, Sharon Thomas-Lampkin who lost her battle to Cancer on Friday, January 6th, 2023. This was very sudden and unexpected.
We are devastated by Sharon’s passing, this was an aggressive Cancer that took her life in less than 2 years. As everyone knows with Cancer you are unable to get life insurance policies. I am doing this go-fund-me page to help the family with the funeral expenses and cover other bills.
Sharon leaves behind her daughter Elisha Thomas who is 20, her husband Dismore of 4 years, and her elderly mom and dad. Sharon was very family oriented.
Elisha lost her brother Elijah in a hit-and-run accident a few years ago, which left her devastated and now the loss of her mom, so it’s rough on her. Her mother was her world. Elisha was planning to pursue nursing this year and give herself a fresh start, so this is unfortunate.
We want to give Sharon the memorial she deserves, honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. We need to raise $15,000 to help cover the cost of Sharon’s funeral and other expenses. We hope to reach this goal by February 1st 2023, so we are kindly asking for donations. Elisha Thomas is the beneficiary and I am coordinating the fundraising.
Sharon had a warm personality toward everyone who crossed her path, she would pay for people’s groceries, or even fill up gas for another mom in need. She volunteered a lot working with kids in the community, as well as her church and also mentored many adults and children alike.
I met Sharon while shopping in Manhattan, then later worked with her at a Medical Group Practice, and we remained great friends over the years.
Sharon was a devoted mom and also devoted a lot of time to volunteering at community events with me, teaching and mentoring young people after work. She completed her bachelor's in Social Work. She loved children and also taught vocational bible school. Sharon was a woman of God, and she was always a person that you can call for help and prayer.
Any help possible is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support and God bless.
“The good you send into other lives always comes back to you.”
The service was held at No Limit Beulah Sabbath Pentecostal Church, 5417 Avenue N, Brooklyn, NY 11234. 1/19/23 at 9am.
We sincerely thank those who have already supported by prayer and donations.
