Urgent fundraising appeal for Pam Broadston

Hi, my name is Cathy and I’m fundraising for my beloved friend Pam Broadston. At 22 years of age, Pam was diagnosed with a Grand Mal seizure disorder, also known as Epilepsy. Unfortunately her condition has continued to deteriorate over the past year. This journey has been challenging, both emotionally and financially. Despite insurance coverage (Pam pays for COBRA), the medical bills and related expenses have become overwhelming and unmanageable. Without any income for months, Pam has been struggling to make ends meet!

We are reaching out to our friends, family, and the community to request your support. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in Pam’s life. Here are the details of the fundraising campaign:

1. Mission and goal: our mission is to raise funds to cover her medical treatment, ongoing care, transportation, and essential living expenses during this difficult time.

2. Pam’s story: Diagnosed at the age of 22, her symptoms required brain surgery in 2015. A responsive neurostimulator was implanted in her brain to control her seizures. Pam was also diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment. Despite her deficits she was able to manage the demands of her job till a year ago, when she had to resign. Pam wasn’t able to manage any longer because of her declining health. She was devastated when she was denied long term disability, this has resulted in her accruing credit card debt to pay for health insurance, rent and other expenses. This financial struggle has impacted the quality of her life and is devastating to her mental health and well being!
