Now, for the last 9 months, she has been completely out of work and will not be able to return. This debilitating condition has severely limited her ability to breathe and function normally, making it impossible for her to continue working and supporting herself. The circumstances have been made even more distressing by the fact that she doesn't qualify for disability benefits and has not yet received any support from the Canada Pension Plan (CPP). As a result, she finds herself in a desperate financial situation, struggling to meet even her most basic needs. One of the most pressing concerns my mother faces is the inability to afford groceries. As her health worsens, proper nutrition becomes increasingly vital, and it pains me to see her forced to compromise on her diet due to financial constraints. Additionally, the cost of transportation further isolates her, making it difficult for her to attend medical appointments and maintain a sense of independence. The burden of mortgage payments looms heavily upon her, causing immense stress and anxiety. The thought of losing her home, a place that has provided her with comfort and security, is a constant source of distress. Moreover, basic needs such as clothing and personal care items have become unattainable luxuries in her current situation.
