Help Liam Rebuild After a Life-Changing Spinal Injury

In June, our mate Liam was out doing what he loves most, riding mountain bike trails, when he had a serious crash. He was rushed to hospital, where doctors found he had broken his back. Liam is now paraplegic and has been in hospital ever since, starting the long road to recovery and a new life.

Since the accident, Liam has been nothing short of incredible. He’s stayed positive and determined, and he’s already focused on what comes next instead of what he’s lost. His partner, friends, and family have been by his side every step of the way.

Why we’re raising money

Life after a spinal cord injury comes with huge costs, and many of them hit all at once. Beyond what NDIS will cover, Liam still needs:

1. Additional mobility gear he’ll rely on every day to maintain his health and physical wellbeing.

2. Adaptive sporting equipment including a mountain bike, sit ski, adaptive kayak, and adaptive surfboard which is accumulatively valued around $60,000!

3. Home modifications including ramps, bathroom renovations and other modifications for the home feel accessible again.

4. A new, larger car with fitted hand controls so he can drive independently and load his own chair.

5. Extra therapy including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychology.
