Hi, Mortimer Football Club is a local football club based in Mortimer Common. The club was established in 1934 however it was original known as Mortimer Garth and was set up 1915 by Miss Bertha Capron in memory of her nephew who was killed in World War One. The club started to see success towards the end of the 1970s, and as a Founder Member, the club dominated the Reading Football League for periods of the 80s and 90s. The won senior cups and 4 league titles, as well as two Berks & Bucks Trophies under the guidance of Geoff Howell and Mickey Hastings. More recently our U11's won the BYDL Trophy in 2021/22 and U14s were EBFA Div 7 Champions in 24/25.
Our clubhouse was broken into during the early hours of Sunday 12th July, causing significant and expensive damage to the newly fitted bi-fold windows Please help our club continue to be in local history for many years to come. We shouldn't let some awful people ruin such a long standing piece of history in our community
The funds will be used to repair any damages made and to help improve the club and security measures
