Hello, as most of you will know I'm Chanel, Chayden's sister and his son Baylens Auntie. It is with a heavy heart we are reaching out to the wonderful people in our lives to ask you to please help our beloved family dog Goldie.

She has miraculously survived being hit by a car. Thankfully we were in Kelowna and were able to rush her to the Fairfield emergency vet within minutes of the accident.

She has suffered a fractured L7 vertebrae and bruised lungs.

She received 24hrs of emergency care, pain medication, x-rays and CT scan during that time. Follow up appointments and medication have put the family in debt by almost $10,000 already.

The vet has said with approximately 2 months of intensive care at home, pain medication, follow up appointments and physical therapy she has a chance of healing the fractured vertebrae to a point where she could have many more years with her family that loves her so dearly.

Goldies immediate loved ones are myself , Chayden and his 11 year old son / my nephew, Baylen. Chayden and I bought Goldie for Baylen as a Christmas present 4 years ago so you can imagine how special she is to Baylen.

After having her home for a period of time now the vet has said she is making very positive improvements and encourages us to continue giving Goldie a second chance at life.

Our goal is to raise anything at all to help us with the incurred costs, time away from work, adjustments to her housing situation and to enable us to get Goldie the rehabilitation therapy she will need starting a couple weeks from now.
