Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I’m fundraising for my cousin, Nathan. For those of you who know Nathan, you know his love for riding bikes. One afternoon while driving home from work on his motorcycle an unfortunate event took place where he was clipped on the interstate, which left him (his body) sliding across three lanes of traffic without being hit. Nathan is a living miracle and we’re so grateful he’s alive.
Due to the extent of his injuries from the impact his body took during the accident he has undergone three surgeries. The first was to fix his femur that was broken in two places by the hip joint. The second to repair the two breaks in his forearm. And lastly, was to fix the fibula and tibula in his leg. He also suffered second degree burns from the road rash. Thankfully, Nathan’s CT scan showed no brain trauma.
Once Nathan is released from the trauma and surgery unit in Mercy Hospital they will send him to a rehabilitation center in Chesterfield. While Nathan is on his road to recovery let’s help support him and his family until he can be reunited with them again!
