Hola familia, amigos, y seres queridos,

Hoy escribo estas palabras con el corazón en la mano, como madre, compartiendo algo muy personal y difícil que está atravesando mi hija Nancy.

El 11 de Junio del 2025, Nancy entró a una cirugía con la esperanza de que fuera algo sencillo, una operación para remover una masa y seguir adelante con su vida. Jamás imaginamos, ni ella, ni sus médicos, que ese día marcaría el comienzo de una batalla mucho más grande. Recibió un diagnóstico que nos cambió la vida: Hodgkin Lymphoma.

El linfoma de Hodgkin es un tipo de cáncer que afecta el sistema linfático, el cual es parte del sistema inmunológico que nos protege de enfermedades. En este tipo de cáncer, ciertas células empiezan a crecer de manera anormal y se acumulan en los ganglios linfáticos, provocando inflamación, fatiga extrema, fiebre persistente, pérdida de peso y otros síntomas. Aunque en muchos casos es tratable, el camino es duro y está lleno de incertidumbre, tanto física como emocionalmente.

Desde ese momento, Nancy ha enfrentado esta enfermedad con una fuerza impresionante, sumando esta lucha a otras condiciones de salud que ya lleva manejando desde hace tiempo, además del inmenso y arduo proceso que está sobrepasando como madre.

Quienes conocen a Nancy, saben que ella siempre ha vivido con un corazón generoso. Su casa ha sido refugio para muchos, su mesa siempre ha tenido un plato extra para quien lo necesite, aunque a veces eso signifique que ella se quede sin comer. Con su alma noble, ha sido consejera, amiga, hermana, y apoyo para muchos, incluso en medio de sus propios dolores.

Nancy es una mujer fuerte, resiliente y llena de fe. Su confianza en Dios sigue firme, y su espíritu sigue lleno de amor, aunque la vida le esté poniendo una de las pruebas más duras.

Hoy, les pedimos algo muy sencillo: sus oraciones, su cariño, y si está en su corazón y posibilidades, su ayuda. Sabemos que luchar contra el cáncer no solo es duro emocionalmente, sino también financieramente. Aunque tenga un plan médico, muchos de los gastos no están cubiertos: medicamentos, cremas especiales, vitaminas, gasolina para llegar a sus tratamientos, alimentación adecuada, y cuidados diarios.

Hemos creado este GoFundMe porque muchas personas nos han preguntado cómo pueden ayudar, y esta es una manera directa en la que podemos canalizar ese amor y apoyo hacia ella. Cualquier ayuda, por pequeña que parezca, es un alivio enorme para nosotros y una bendición que recibimos con gratitud que será repagada con Bendiciones de parte de Dios.

Gracias de todo corazón por estar con nosotros, por orar por Nancy, y por ayudarnos a que ella pueda seguir luchando con esperanza.

Hello family, friends, and loved ones, 

Today I write these words with my heart in my hand, as a mother, sharing something very personal and difficult that my daughter Nancy is going through. On June 11, 2025, Nancy went into surgery hoping it would be something simple, just a procedure to remove a mass and move forward with her life. We never imagined, neither she nor her doctors, that this day would mark the beginning of a much bigger battle. She received a diagnosis that changed our lives: Hodgkin Lymphoma. 

Hodgkin lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system that protects us from disease. In this type of cancer, certain cells begin to grow abnormally and accumulate in the lymph nodes, causing swelling, extreme fatigue, persistent fever, weight loss, and other symptoms. Although it is treatable in many cases, the road is difficult and filled with uncertainty, both physically and emotionally. Since that moment, Nancy has faced this illness with remarkable strength, adding this fight to other health conditions she has already been managing for some time, as well as the immense and exhausting challenges she continues to overcome as a mother. 

Those who know Nancy know she has always lived with a generous heart. Her home has been a refuge for many, her table always has an extra plate for anyone in need, even if that sometimes means she goes without. With her noble soul, she has been a counselor, friend, sister, and support for so many, even in the midst of her own pain. 

 Nancy is a strong, resilient woman full of faith. Her trust in God remains firm, and her spirit is still filled with love, even as life places one of its toughest tests before her. Today, we ask for something very simple: your prayers, your love, and if it is in your heart and within your means,  your help. We know that fighting cancer is not only emotionally difficult, but also financially burdensome. 

Even with health insurance, many expenses are not covered: medications, special creams, vitamins, gas to get to treatments, proper nutrition, and daily care needs. We have created this GoFundMe because many people have asked how they can help, and this is a direct way to channel that love and support toward her. Any help, no matter how small it may seem, is a huge relief for us and a blessing we will receive with gratitude, knowing it will be repaid with blessings from God. 

 Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being with us, for praying for Nancy, and for helping her continue fighting with hope.
