My name is Jamie and I am one of two (Jake) children who are fortunate enough to be the children of the most magnanimous woman you'll ever meet. She is the best mother anyone could ever ask for. She's fierce and protective, she's kind and loving, she accepts your faults and helps you learn from them. She's home.

She's an amazing grandmother. When I say amazing I mean there are no walls or borders that can keep her from supporting, loving and protecting her grandchildren. She loves each one of them with every fiber of her being. She is so gentle with our special needs son Willie who has Autism. They are best buddies and do everything together. Nancy is his world and she is his guide in this crazy thing we call life.

About 4 weeks ago Nancy started going into spasms and having severe muscle pains. We took her to the hospital hoping to discover the reason behind these out of nowhere problems. They couldn't locate the source of what was causing the pain so, they treated her symptoms. Three days later she was still in agonizing pain so we took her to her GP for a work up. Upon receiving results from multiple blood tests the doctor was confused by how her white blood cells had doubled since her visit to the ER three days earlier. He sent her for an MRI. The results of the MRI showed severe inflammation in the shoulder and the marrow in the top of her arm.

The doctor called Nancy and told her to go to the ER with the results. When we got to the ER they ran more tests and sent them to pathology. The results were something we were never going to be ready to hear. The ER doctor said he was going to admit Nancy because her white blood cells were oddly shaped. Their shape brought the ER doctor concern because they looked very familiar and he was afraid they were representative of Leukemia.

We had Nancy admitted and it was confirmed that she has Acute AML Leukemia with mutated MLL rearrangement. What this means is Nancy has a HUGE fight ahead of her. She is such a fighter but we need help. She will be in and out of the hospital a lot this next 6-12 months to battle Leukemia. In between these stays we need to be able to create a safe controlled enviornment where she can rest at home and be at peace so she will be able to be at her strongest to win this fight. ❤

We're asking for donations to create her medically sound environment by building her a custom room that can can house all of her equipment and also so we can cover the extra medical expenses and travel costs. We know it is a hard time for everyone but any little bit helps.

We are not ones to generally ask for help but this woman means the world to so many people. My brother and I, our spouses who she loves like her own children, her grand babies who love their awesome grandma, her extended family and many many friends who she treats and cares for like family.

Nancy has touched so many lives and made them brighter. She has helped so many people never asking for anything in return. Please help us save the most beautiful soul to grace our lives. Thank you❤
