Donate to Help Myanmar Earthquake Survivors
Donation protected
On Friday March 28th, a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, my home country.
The destruction is overwhelming, and unlike what we had during Hurricane Helene, there is no 911 to call for emergency help. No government rescue teams searching for survivors. No FEMA to provide food and water.
Getting aid into Myanmar is difficult, but I am in direct contact with trusted community teams on the ground who are working tirelessly to help. Every dollar you give will go directly to those in need.
The scale of the disaster is heartbreaking, but I truly believe that every bit of support makes a difference. Please consider donating and sharing to help the people affected by this disaster in this critical time.
Adding the following info requested by gofundme below:
Who is overseeing the withdrawal of funds, into what bank account?
I am overseeing the withdrawal of funds from my bank account.
Who is responsible for the management of the funds (purchasing, distributing items, etc)
We worked with two groups of friends where I provide the cash from the donations and the purchase and distribute the items. One friend is Hnin Wint and the other friend, Aunty Maureen is from church back home.
Will the funds be used for supplies or money? For either, how will you be distributing it amongst individuals and in what form? (i.e. cash distribution split evenly, etc).
Funds will be used for supplies focusing on temporary housing (ie. tents, tarps, etc) and everyday needs (ie. water, medicine, clothes, toiletries, etc)
Timeline for the aid to be offered to individuals
The aid has already been offered to the individuals affected by the earthquake. My friends back from the areas affected around April 20th after distributing the aid.
