Hi, my name is Stacie and the photo presented is of my daughter and my sister Sarah. Sarah is the youngest of my family and just turned 31 in April. In February, her world drastically changed from a stage 3 aggressive breast cancer diagnosis. Her insurance had a high deductible and there are not as many benefits available to her being that she moved out of NY a few years ago to be near her husband's family in North Carolina. Even though she is protected through FMLA, NC does not pay her to be out for 12 weeks. Her treatments have been ongoing, with chemo every Tuesday. She is starting to get weak and sick and having reactions to those treatments. As of now, she is almost done with the first 12 weeks of treatments, but they want to continue more chemo over the summer followed by radiation and surgery in the fall. She will more than likely have to have a double mastectomy, and being that it is not hereditary and is the most aggressive type out there, the odds are high it could come back and attack other areas within her body. In the coming weeks they will see if her 2 inch tumor has shrank, and they are keeping an eye on tumors that have started on her surrounding lymph nodes. She is trying to sporadically work but being that she is a mail delivery person for USPS, she doesn't always have the endurance to perform her job. We don't know when she will be able to work full time again. She has mounting medical bills and is struggling to help put nutritious food on the table. We would appreciate all donations and well wishes and if you are not able to help monetarily, sharing this to reach someone who may be able to would be so very much appreciated. ❤❤❤ #cancersucks
